The list of readings below gives an overview of some of the major events and characters in the Hebrew Bible, as well as a sampling of some of the different types of literature. The list does not give a full account of the biblical material nor does it do justice to all the types of literature in the Hebrew Bible/Old Testament. It is meant to give those whose biblical knowledge is 'patchy' or a little 'rusty' a sense of the story within the Old Testament/Hebrew Bible.
